A reminder this Friday, October 21, 2011, Linda Clark, instruction from Kenora, is coming to teach at our retreat, Saturday and Sunday. She will be having a trunk show on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the Oxdrift school (HWY 17). Everyone is welcome to come but if you are not registered for the retreat there will be a charge of $5.00 to attend.
Linda Clark of Born to Quilt in Kenora, Ontario will be our retreat instructor October 21-23, 2011 at Joan Schneider’s Schoolhouse. Linda’s Angle Options (shown on left) can be made as a 31″ square table topper, 16″ x 39″ table runner or 53″ x 62″ lap quilt.

Our next meeting, Tuesday, June 28th, is our annual AGM and potluck season windup. This year, like in 2009 (non quilt show year), we will have a mini vendor market. Doors will open at 6 pm. The following shops will be attending.

The Sunset Gallery in Kenora, Ontario July 4th to July 9th will be hosting a special exhibition of Nancy Bergman’s ‘Shorelines’ fabric and thread work art quilts. The gallery is open 9 am – 5 pm and Nancy will be on site between 11 am and 2 pm daily. Stop in, meet Nancy and see the new spider web photo quilt she’s working on.
This Saturday, Adeline Johnson will be showing different ways to use those selveges you might throw away.

Our Sewing Saturdays begin at 9 am and are held at the Go-getters Senior Centre in Dryden, ON. Participants pay $10 and bring a potluck dish to share. More details.
