Sewing Saturday Course Change

Phyllis from Crazy Ladies will have to postpone her workshop on the “Fun and Done” Runner until March 24th 2012. In it’s place Mary LaRocque will be sharing the technique to make stars which shall be used as table favours for the Quilt Show Banquet. Of course everyone can bring their own projects to work at. If all attending will donate a bit of their time on January 21, Mary will have all the stars she needs for the table favours. Make sure you have a sewing machine, square ruler, a rotary cutter with you. If you have some buttons around 1/2″ in size we can use them in colours to match the soft blues, aqua, soft greens, lavenders, and soft spring colours. A neutral thread colour will also be required. She has the fabric, freezer paper (already cut) and ribbon required. Hope to see many of you there.

Linda Clark Trunk Show

A reminder this Friday, October 21, 2011, Linda Clark, instruction from Kenora, is coming to teach at our retreat, Saturday and Sunday. She will be having a trunk show on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the Oxdrift school (HWY 17). Everyone is welcome to come but if you are not registered for the retreat there will be a charge of $5.00 to attend.

Linda Clark of Born to Quilt in Kenora, Ontario will be our retreat instructor October 21-23, 2011 at Joan Schneider’s Schoolhouse. Linda’s Angle Options (shown on left) can be made as a 31″ square table topper, 16″ x 39″ table runner or 53″ x 62″ lap quilt.
