In keeping with the theme of “Winter  Games” (as in Vancouver 2010 Olympics) our 1st 2nd and 3rd place winners of Viewers Choice received gold, silver and bronze ribbons, respectively.  Here they are:

1st Place:  A Tisket, A Tasket, Log Cabin Basket by Nancy Eichel

This is a Cotton Theory quilt and has bobbin work using cotton floss to create the floral design in basket and basket handle is a decorative embroidery stitch.

2nd Place: “Tango” by Mary Jane Fleming

Quilt top made by Mary Jane Fleming. Machine quilted by Vikki Favreau who insisted it should be called Tango. Designed by Chris Timmins, Grafton, Australia.

3rd Place: Star Spin by Linda Salonen

We saw this quilt pattern in St. Jacobs, ON. and loved it. It is called “Star Spin”. Thank goodness for Nel DePorto or I would not have completed it as I couldn’t get the star points to meet without her help. The awesome quilting was done by Sharon Timson. We love the final results!
